BOS Shelf team joins “Voluntary Donor” campaign

Employees of BOS Shelf LLC joined the “Voluntary Donor” campaign, ​​organized on the initiative of the First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva, due to severe shortage of blood supplies within global Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and a potential life threat to people suffering from thalassemia and hemophilia.

Sharp reduction in the number of donors during the pandemic challenged blood donation for patients in need. The situation has led to a high risk for the lives of patients with thalassemia and especially children who need regular blood supplies.

“In these troubled times for all mankind, we consider it our duty to help people whose lives are in danger, including children suffering from thalassemia and in need of regular blood transfusions. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to the “Voluntary Donor” campaign, saving hundreds of lives,” the company’s management said.

The “Voluntary Donor” campaign started on April 8 with the support of the Republic leadership, Coordination Center of Volunteers of Azerbaijan and the National Center for Hematology and Transfusiology. The campaign continues to attract people from all over the country to help patients suffering from thalassemia and hemophilia.
